As a volunteer, you get the opportunity to make relational investments in the life of a teen through areas such as counseling, logistics, games, and much more.

Volunteer FAQ

If you are currently serving at United or you just love the next generation, you belong at Clash Camp with us!

  • You love God and want to see Him at work in the life of a teenager.
  • You adhere to GFC statement of faith and requirements of leadership.
  • You regularly attend on the weekends.
  • You submit to running a background check and interview.

If the idea of being with teenagers non-stop for three days doesn't appeal to you, Clash Camp is not for you.

  • Leading and investing into a group of 5-9 students for 4 days
  • Being flexible and available for the duration of Middle School or High School Clash Camp.

Security Team, Nursing/Paramedic Team, AV/Tech Team, Creative, Worship Team, and Camp Store volunteers are needed for the full duration.

If you are volunteering to be a counselor, we ask that you only volunteer in one session. We want you to invest as much as you can into one group, and we do not want you to be spread thin across two different groups!

THE BEST WEEK OF SUMMER

Clash Camp is the summer camp of the United Student Ministry at Grace Family Church. Clash Camp is created specifically for middle and high school students, with your student in mind. Between experiencing Christ through worship and engaging messages, to exciting War Games, and fun with friends, Clash Camp will be the best week of summer!

General FAQ

Clash Camp takes place at Camp Kulaqua in High Springs, Florida.

Yes! Students who are graduating high school in May will be able to attend Clash Camp. There is an option to enroll as a graduating senior.

Yes! Incoming 6th graders are able to attend our Middle School Camp.

If your student has special needs and you are interested in sending him/her to Clash Camp, please email us at clash@gfcflorida.com before enrolling your student. We would love to talk to you so we can see if we are able to accommodate your student. While we work to make camp an environment that all students can experience and enjoy, Clash Camp is not always able to accommodate students who need one-on-one assistance, have extreme dietary restrictions, and/or have certain disabilities.

Mandatory Parent Night will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Lutz Campus.

If your student will require any medications at Clash Camp, our “Medicine Distribution Form” must be turned in with the medicine to our Nursing Team on the day of departure for camp. All medicine must be completely labeled with your student’s name and placed in a gallon-size Ziploc bag. The “Medicine Distribution Form” may be printed at home, picked up at the parent meeting on Sunday, July 14th, or completed on the day of camp drop-off.

We will provide all parents/guardians with three points of contact while your student is at camp. This information will be provided at Parent Night.

Middle School drop-off will be on the pavers of the Lutz campus on Sunday, July 21st. Note: We cannot accommodate late arrivals.

High School drop-off will be on the pavers of the Lutz campus on Wednesday, July 24th. Note: We cannot accommodate late arrivals.

Middle School will return to the Lutz campus on the morning of Wednesday, July 24th.

High School will return to the Lutz campus on the afternoon of Saturday, July 27th.

Camp Kulaqua features a full dining hall, which offers buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Clash Camp Store will also be open during free time and late at night for campers to purchase snacks and drinks.

If your student has food allergies, please indicate this on the enrollment form. If your student has extreme food allergies, please email us at clash@gfcflorida.com prior to registration, so we can work with you directly to make sure we are able to accommodate your student.

Yes. We will have a 24/7 security team at Clash Camp to ensure the safety of our students. Additionally there will be an assigned Group Counselor for every 5-9 students. Each group counselor is background checked and interviewed by Grace Family Church staff prior to contact with students.

Your student will need a Bible, journal, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes, clothing for four days, toiletries, towel, swimsuit, rain jacket/poncho, watch/alarm clock, and a sleeping bag/pillow. Please label everything with your student’s name. A comprehensive packing list will be provided prior to departing for camp. Students may also bring spending money for Clash Camp 2024 merchandise and snacks in our camp store. We recommend $25 for the week. All other meals and drinks will be provided as a part of your Clash Camp enrollment. We recommend that you pack all of your student’s items in one wheeled-suitcase or duffle bag. Whatever your student brings, they are responsible for carrying to and from the bus and their accommodations.

Clash Camp schedule information will be released in July.

War Games FAQ

War Games are our way of having a little friendly competition at camp. We will have two scheduled sessions of War Games in which teams will compete in outdoor recreational games to win points for their team. Teams will also earn points for displaying team spirit, stellar conduct, and service to others throughout the camp experience.

Points will be earned by playing War Games, displaying team spirit throughout each day, and acts of service toward others. War Games rules and points structure will be shared when your student arrives at Camp.

War Games teams will be announced at the Mandatory Parent Night on July 14th.

Each team will be assigned a male and female War Games leader. Leaders will be announced at Parent Night.

Camp Rules FAQ

If you can’t wear it to school, don’t wear it to/at Clash Camp! Students should bring comfortable clothing/shoes for recreational activities outside as well as a swimsuit. Ladies – please, only bring one-piece modest swimsuits or tankinis.

Gentlemen - shirts are required at all times, unless actively swimming in the spring or waterpark.

Students are asked to leave skateboards, fireworks, phones, iPods, iPads, laptops, gaming consoles, pets & animals at home. Clash Camp is for building a better relationship with God, family, and friends.

No cell phones, iPads, laptops, digital devices, or gaming systems are allowed at camp. We want Clash Camp to be a distraction-free environment for students, and few things distract students as much as their phones. Over the years, we’ve found that taking students out of their regular routine opens them up to hear from Jesus in ways they haven’t before. Before we leave for camp, we will give you three points of contact for emergencies. All of our leaders, staff, and pastors will have cell phones, and will be able to reach you, if needed.

At the time of registration, parents and students are required to sign a Parent and Student Agreement, which includes the rules implemented at Clash Camp.

Financial FAQ

Yes! If full payment is not made at the time of registration, a $200 deposit is required to save your student’s spot. The remaining balance may be paid through our monthly payment plan. You will receive a payment link every 30 days from the date of registration from which you may make a payment. Payments must be made monthly and the balance must be paid no later than June 30th.

We never want cost to be the reason a student can’t attend Clash Camp. One reason we open Clash Camp enrollment early is so everyone will have an opportunity to make smaller payments leading up to Camp. Hopefully this payment plan will alleviate the burden of paying the full cost at once. If you know you won’t be able to afford Clash Camp, even with a payment plan, you may be eligible for financial aid. Financial aid is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you or a student you know needs financial assistance to attend Clash Camp, apply below. Registration and deposit must be completed for each student before financial aid applications will be processed. When financial aid is approved, the amount of aid will be credited to your family account and monthly bills will be adjusted accordingly.

Yes! For each additional sibling registered, you will receive a $30 credit to your payment account.

Yes. Requests for refunds will be honored through June 30th. After June 30th, all payments will be non-refundable.

We will have snacks and merchandise available for purchase. While it is not necessary to send additional money, we recommend $25 for the week.

If you have any additional questions please email us at clash@gfcflorida.com and we will be in touch.
